Established in 1919, the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) boasts a rich international reputation for its expertise in plant varieties, seeds, and cutting-edge applications of genetics, physiology, soil science, precision agronomy, and data science. NIAB has undergone significant expansion, tripling in size through strategic investments, mergers, and acquisitions. While these changes have expanded its commercial reach, there remained a need to harmonise services, staff, systems, processes, and most crucially, culture, into a unified NIAB Operating Model.
